Assault at Wal Mart

On February 16, 2019 at around 12:56 pm, several girl scouts and their parents were selling cookies at Wal Mart in the City of Redding. A ten year old female was approached by an adult male. After a very brief interaction, the male inappropriately touched the juvenile female. The male quickly walked off after the incident. He was last seen walking eastbound on Dana from Wal Mart.

The suspect is described as a Hispanic male, 50-60 years old, medium build, gray hair and beard, last seen wearing a gray and black jacket and jeans.

Officers from the Redding Police Department, with assistance from the California Highway Patrol conducted an extensive search for the suspect, but did not locate him.

The name of the victim in this case is being withheld due to her age.
