Suspected Burglar Caught In Vehicle by Officers

On March 15, 2019, at 1:40am, Officers responded to the 500 block of Reddington Drive, in the City of Redding, for a report of a male subject trying vehicle door handles. Officers responded quickly and located Cain Coulter, 32 years old from Redding, hiding in a vehicle parked in the driveway of a residence.

The owner of the vehicle told officers he did not know Coulter and he did not have his permission to be in the truck. During a search of Coulter’s person, Officers located items from another vehicle burglary in the neighborhood. Coulter admitted to Officers he was searching for property left in vehicles. Coulter was arrested for two counts of burglary and booked into the Shasta County Jail.
