Home Invasion Suspect Arrest

CASE# 19R077497 ***Update***

On Sunday, November 24th, 2019, at 2:16 A.M., a 79 year old female called 911 to report being the victim of a home invasion robbery in the 3000 block of Golf Dr. in Redding.  An initial press release was issued after the initial call for service that include the vehicle description and license plate number.

On November 24th, 2019 at around 12:23 P.M., a citizen called in to report they saw the victim’s vehicle in the area of Oak Run Rd near Highway 44.  A CHP helicopter and Deputies from the Shasta County Sheriff’s Officer responded to the area and located the vehicle approximately 20 minutes later.  They contacted the driver, who was the only person inside the vehicle. He was identified as Dustin McIntire, 32 years of Redding.  McIntire was arrested and brought to the Redding Police Department for questioning.

Officers and investigators were able to obtain numerous items of evidence that linked McIntire to the home invasion robbery.  McIntire was arrested for numerous charges including Robbery, Burglary and Vehicle Theft. He is being held at the Shasta County Jail on $100,000 bail. A previous booking photo of McIntire is attached for reference.
