On Sunday, November 25th, at 1:00 A. M., Redding Police responded to the report of a gunshot victim at the intersection of Heather Lane and Foxtail Court in Redding. Officers located two victims, one male and one female, who related that they had been shot at by a male subject who was associated with a vehicle that fled the scene.
The Victims stated they had arranged to buy marijuana from the driver but later changed their minds. The passenger in the suspect vehicle revealed he had a handgun and demanded the victims’ money. The passenger then fired one round at the victims, striking the female victim in the left arm. The female victim was grazed by the bullet and had non-life-threatening injuries.
Officers searched throughout the evening for the suspect vehicle without success. Officers continued to follow up on leads throughout the night. Investigators have been notified and will assist in the investigation. Some information is being withheld as this is an active and ongoing criminal investigation.
