Redding Police Investigating reports of gunshots at a residence

On June 7th, 2020 at 8:38 P.M., Officers from the Redding Police Department responded to the 1100 block of Hawthorne Avenue on numerous reports of gunshots at a residence. 

Upon arrival to the area, RPD Officers observed a white Dodge truck that had been reported to be present during the incident, and a traffic enforcement stop was conducted on the vehicle.  One of the occupants of the vehicle was found to be suffering from a gunshot wound.  Simultaneous to the traffic enforcement stop, Officers located another male subject along the 1000 block of Dusty Lane who was also suffering from a gunshot wound.  Both male subjects were transported to a local hospital for treatment of their injuries. 

The Redding Police Department Investigations Division responded and assumed this investigation. Although there have been no arrests made at this time, there does not appear to be any risk to the public. The investigation is ongoing.
