Rollover Traffic Collision Injures Two People

On June 27th 2020, at 1:57 pm, The Redding Police Department and Redding Fire Department were dispatched to a two vehicle traffic collision at the Intersection of North Market and Benton Drive. Officers learned Travis Jones, 26 years old of Redding, was driving his 1993 Toyota Camry southbound on North Market St., ran the red light, and struck a 2008 Acura SUV driven by Megan Neves, 24 years old of Redding, who was making a northbound turn from eastbound Benton Dr St. onto North Market St.

Neves sustained minor injuries and Jones sustained moderate injuries. Both were transported to a local hospital for evaluation and treatment. Both parties were wearing their seatbelts and the airbags in their cars deployed. Drugs and alcohol are not factors in the collision. The collision is still under investigation and will be review by the Redding Police Traffic Unit for possible charges.
