Case #20R057213

On September 5th, at 10:06 A.M., Officers from the Redding Police Department responded to the 2700 block of Bechelli Lane to the assist the California Department of Corrections and Rehabilitation Parole Division in searching for a convicted sex offender who fled from Parole Agents.  Gregory Alan White, 36 years of Redding, is required to maintain a GPS ankle monitor as a condition of his parole.  White removed his ankle monitor early that morning, and then fled from Parole Agents who located him in the area.

With the assistance of K9 Otto, Officers located White hiding to the rear of the Bridgeway Inn, wedged between an air conditioner unit and the wall.  White was uncooperative with Officers and resisted their efforts to safely take him into custody.  K9 Otto was used to apprehend White, who continued to fight with Officers before being detained.

White received medical treatment at a local hospital before being booked into Shasta County Jail for Parole Violation and Resisting Arrest.  One Officer sustained a minor injury during the incident.
