Wanted Man From Clovis California Arrested in Redding

On Tuesday, September 10th, 2020 at approximately 1:33 PM, Redding Police Officers were actively searching for 30 year old Tyrone Williams, of Fresno, who was wanted for multiple felony weapon violations out of Clovis California.  Officers conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle in the 1900 block of 10th Street in Redding. During this traffic stop, they contacted the driver who initially provided them false identifying information.  The driver, later identified as wanted suspect Tyrone Williams, fled on foot leading officers on a several block chase before being safely apprehended.

Williams has previously been convicted of multiple felony crimes in California including, assault with a firearm on a person, felony evading, possession of a firearm by a felon and felony obstructing or resisting an executive officer.  He has also served time in state prison.

Williams was booked at the Shasta County Jail for the outstanding felony warrant and on new charges of 148(A)(1) PC obstructing a police officer, 529(A) PC false personation.
