Redding Police attempt to locate missing woman

On Thursday, October 8th, 2020 at approximately 10:30 P.M., Redding Police Officers responded to the 1800 Block of Lake Boulevard in North Redding for a missing  female.  Officers arrived and learned that 57 year old Gigi Louise Martin had walked away from her residence and had been missing for over six hours.  Martin takes several medications daily to prevent seizures and mental health emergencies which places her at risk. Martin had walked away from her residence earlier today but was returned by Police. She left again and has not been see since.

Officers canvassed the area surrounding Martin’s home extensively.  A CodeRED community notification was issued to all residences within a mile radius of Martin’s residence. CodeRED is a community notification system used by Shascom-911 in partnership with local public safety agencies to notify the public of emergencies and public safety related information.  Residents can sign up for CodeRED at www.reddingpolice.org or www.shascom911.com .

Martin is described as a Native American, approximately 5′ 2″ tall and 157 pounds with short dark hair and brown eyes. She was last seen wearing Blue Mickey Mouse sweater, pink sweatpants and gray Velcro sandals. Refer to the photograph below.
